So this is gonna be a rooftop ski and snowboard carrier that holds your stuff between these two spring loaded jaws. They've got thick rubber padding in there to both protect your gear and provide some grip to it so it doesn't move around when you're going down the road. It's gonna be a nice way to carry your gear in a more cost effective way and it's a lot less bulky than something like a rooftop box. more

It's gonna help keep 'em protected between these two spring loaded arms. So, just press the large button on the outside, open it up and we've got these thick rubber pads that are gonna keep our gear nice and protected in there, helping to provide padding, but also grip. more

This is gonna be a roof-mounted carrier that clamps around our crossbar, so you will need a roof rack to make this work. But for me, this is a really nice way to carry your gear. A lot of people like using a box, and those are nice because they are enclosed and locking, but the problem with rooftop boxes is they can get very large and they add a lot of height to your vehicle. They're hard to store when it's not on your vehicle, so you gotta find some place in the garage to keep it. more

So you can see there's no back and forth movement when I shake the vehicle by the snowboard here, everything's really secure in there. Hey everyone, it's Evangeline here at etrailer, and today, we're taking a look at how the Yakima FreshTrack Ski and Snowboard Carrier fits on the 2015 Ford Edge. So if you wanna hit the slopes and you got your skis, you got your snowboards, you can try to fit them inside your car, but the downsides to that is that you do get snow and water all inside of your vehicle, and where do you put your friends and family So the option there is to get them onto your roof. So we have a ski and snowboard carrier here, the Yakima FreshTrack. There's a bunch of different carrier options, this one is gonna be great for if you want something that's affordable, but still has those premium features like locks and is safe and secure for those skis and snowboards. Now, there are some certain challenges with the Ford Edge that you're gonna have to work with, and let's talk about that. One challenge is that this is a taller vehicle. more

Also, where are you gonna put your friends and your family there is where a ski and snowboard carrier comes in handy. You put it on top of your roof it's out of the way, it's easy to access and you also have those locking features so it's still secure even while it's up there. The Yakima FatCat EVO is probably one of the more premium ski and snowboard carriers. If you want something that has a very sleek design but also has a ski lift, which gives you extra height for those extra tall bindings, this might help you out. more

So as long as you have a roof rack on your Fiesta, you can get this carrier on there. This is gonna be one of the more premium carriers because it has a very sleek look, but it also has integrated locks and it has a really low profile strap which is helpful for the Fiesta style of roof racks. Now you can get this as a four version which is what we have here, or a six version which can carry up to six pairs of skis. They're gonna work the exact same way. So if you guys are looking for a way of getting those snowboards and skis to your destination, this can be a very decent way to do so. So really simple design. All we have is gonna be those two rubber gaskets, coming down, holding under our board and skis, making sure they get there safe and sound, for ourselves. You guys can see here today on the Ford Bronco Sport, lots of clearance because of our clamp-on-style. Obviously not gonna be the biggest guy out there, but it's gonna be perfect for your kind of smaller trips, getting one or two boards about four skis or so to your destination. Now of course, if you guys do have wider skis, kind of keep it in mind, it is just kind of rule of thumb that it is gonna be a little dependent upon what we have at home to really make it work for us. Today on this 2016 Ford Escape, we're going to be test fitting the Thule SnowPack Ski & Snowboard Carrier, part number TH7326. Now, this can carry up to 6 skis or 4 boards. We already have the front one installed. We're going to go ahead and show you how the rear one installs. We'll first take the carrier and set it in place on our rear crossbar and try to keep it even with our front one here. Then, we'll take this rubber-coated steel strap, wrap it around, and then come around to the rear here to this gray knob and turn it to the right to start tightening it down. Today on this 2016 Ford Escape, we're going to be test fitting the Rocky Mounts lift up biggie ski and snowboard carrier, part number RKY1482. This can carry up to five fat skis or four snowboards. We've got the front one installed already so we'll go ahead and show you how the rear one goes into place. Now it does come with a allen key tool to tighten this down. We'll take our rear carrier, kind of situate it on our crossbar here. Try to match it up to where it's even with the front one. Once we have that figured out, take our strap here with the T-shape, fit into the appropriate slot and take the included allen tool. more

Today on our 2015 Ford Focus, we are doing a test fist of the Thule SnowPack Rooftop Ski and Snowboard Carriers. The part number for this is TH7326. We already have our front carrier in place, we are going to show you how we secure our back in place since it is the same way. We are first going to start by placing our carrier on and kind of trying to line it up as best with can with our front. Then we will take our strap, we are just going to connect it just there and then we will start to tighten down. Tightening down using our gray knobs here in the back, rotating towards ourselves and that will tighten down. Now we can go do the same thing on the other side. One thing to note with these carriers is that they will carry up to six skis or four snowboards, or you could do a combination of the two. more

You can see that we've already got one on the back side that's already fully-assembled and in place, so you can get an idea of how high it's going to sit up and what it's going to look like. This is going to be part number WB-300. Go ahead and rotate these feet since we're going to be putting it on our driver's side and not the typical passenger side. On the front here, we're going to lift it up to where the notch comes out and the strap falls down. more

Thule Ski and Snowboard Racks Review - 2011 Ford Edge- Video
Today on our 2011 Ford Edge, we're going to be showing you and test-fitting the Thule SnowPack Ski and Snowboard Carriers, for six skis or four snowboards, Part Number TH7326. Now, we do have the first one installed already. Let's go ahead and show you how the second one installs. Now, first off, we're going to go ahead and make sure that the straps are in the open position like this, then we're going to slide them underneath our other factory roof rack bar, and then try to keep it even with the front one. Once we determine that, go ahead and put this in that notch there, the strap, and then we'll come around the back and tighten it up. Left to loosen, right to tighten. This may take a minute, so just a little patience is all you need. Once it's tight enough, we'll go ahead and repeat the same process on the other side. more

We already have the first half on, very easy to install. The way you want to put it on, you want to make sure that this is pointed toward you and we put it down on our cross bars. We take this strap here, put it in that little slot, want to make sure it gets tights. That red knob there and we lift this up a little bit. more

Thule Ski and Snowboard Racks Review - 2014 Ford Fiesta- Video
Today on our 2014 Ford Fiesta, we're doing a test fit of the Thule SnowPack Ski and Snowboard Carrier. That part number is TH7326. We already 00:00:12 have the front part on, we're going to show you how easy it is installing the second one. We have our universal holders 00:00:21 that go around your crossbars so get this lined up pretty neat here. Now all I do is take our strap here which is actually a rubber coating on a steel strap, come around to the other side and all we do just turn it until we get tight. These carriers can hold up to 6 pairs of skis or 4 snowboards. more

Thule Ski and Snowboard Racks Review - 2013 Ford Focus- Video
Today on our 2013 Ford Focus, we're doing a test fit of the Tuley Snowpack Ski and Snowboard carrier. That part number is TH7326. We already have the first one on, very easy to install, so we're going to put this second one on. This fits pretty much on most of all your crossbars, that's what we have here. Make sure it's lined up, so we have our strap here, it fits into a little groove then to the back. Have a little grey knob we just turn to tighten it down. more

RockyMounts Ski and Snowboard Racks Review - 2016 Ford Expedition- Video
Today on our 2016 Ford Expedition, we're doing a test fit of the RockyMounts LiftOp Biggie Ski and Snowboard Carrier, part number is RKY1482. Now I have the first one already on, I'm going to show you how to install the second one, it's pretty easy. All right, it fits pretty much on your crossbars, we're just using our factory crossbars today. All right, first thing I want to do is line it up with the first one. That's about right, now what I'm going to do is take the strap here underneath our crossbar, if you come to the other side, I'll show you it's a little slider that fits into right there. What we want to do is take the allan wrench that comes with it, and we're just going to start tighten it up. more

Today on our 2015 Ford Fiesta, we're doing a test fit of the Tulle snowpack ski and snowboard carrier. That part number is TH7326. Now these carriers can carry up to 6 skis or 4 snowboards, or combination of the two, which we'll actually see today. We've already got our front one on, we're just going to show you how we secured the back down. Now when we load them up, you want to make sure that both of our openings are facing the same way, so we want our button to open up the top on our passenger side here. Now, with that in place, we're going to take our strap and fit it in to it's slot there, and at this point I'm going to line up my carriers to make sure they're even. more

Whispbar Ski and Snowboard Racks Review - 2015 Ford Fiesta- Video
Today on our 2015 Ford Fiesta we're doing a test fit of the Whispbar Locking Rooftop Ski and Snowboard Carriers. We've already got out front one on, but first we're going to show you how to put the back one on and we'll load some example of what you can carry in here. To load it up we're just going to slide on our back carrier, we want both our of straps to be facing the way, so on this one I have them facing towards the back. Now we're going to push our button here at the top and just open up our carrier. Around here at the back, we're going to connect our strap in this little section here. If your strap's too loose or too tight you can always tighten in and loosen it with this red knob here, but ours seems just about right for this crossbar. The next thing we'll do is this grey latch here, we want to come up to the top, inside the actual carrier there's a black knob, we're just going to tighten that down, what that's going to do is tighten that grey knob around the top of the black piece of the trap. That's going to secure that even further into place. more

Yakima FatCat Ski and Snowboard Racks Review - 2015 Ford Edge- Video
Today, on our 2015 Ford Edge Titanium, we're going to be doing a test fit of the Yakima FatCat. This is going to be your 6 ski and/or 4 snowboard carrier for the top of your vehicle, so you can have them out of the inside of the vehicle and up top, that way to give you - free up some legroom on the inside of the vehicle. It's going to be part number Y03088. First thing we'll do is make sure that we have the straps undone on either side and place it up on top of our crossbars. Now with these inaudible 00:00:32 you can fit your square bars, your elliptical bars, your factory crossbars, even your arrow-type bars, as your round and square bars. Once we have that strap underneath and we have it lined up with the front one because we want them to be even on both sides. That way, our skis and snowboards aren't sideways or crooked on the inside. more

Today on our 2015 Ford Edge Titanium, we're going to be doing a test fit of the Whispbar ski and snowboard carrier. This is going to mount up on the top of your roof cargo rack, as you can see here, and it fits six sets of skis or four snowboards or a combination of the two. It's going to be Part No. WB-300, and we're going to go ahead and show you how the back one goes on. Make sure that you have the latch undone. You can see that this part's going to go underneath of your crossbar and then latch in like so. This part will be your lock, which will be on the inside, and it will go up and down and close down over the top of your latch assembly holding it in place. more

Today on our 2015 Ford F250 Super Duty, we're going to be doing a test a test fit of the Whispbar Locking Ski and snowboard Carrier for your roof rack system. It's going to be part number WB-300. It should be able to carry six skis, and four snowboards, or a combination of the two. As you can see, we already got one up on our Yakima bars, we're going to put the other one on the back bars and show you exactly how it's put in place. First thing you're going to want to do is make sure that you undo the little T shaped clips from this point here. That's going to drop down those straps. more
